Style - Surreal

A surreal advert is one that uses a dream like effect and is supposed to shock and amaze the audience in order to be memorable and stay in their minds and will want them to share it with others which will help get the advert around and get the product popular with people.
An example of a surreal advert is the cadbury drumming gorilla advert



This advert shows a Gorilla doing a drum solo to a song, this advert became one of the most popular adverts ever, still being spoke about today even though it first hit our television screens back in 2007. The way the advert is shown is dream like therefore creating a surreal advert and giving it the 'wow' effect on the audience.
